Every day, great things are accomplished in our schools.
We celebrate the many successes of the students and staff of the Wissahickon School District.


  • The Wissahickon High School was rated as one of the top thirteen hundred high schools in the nation by Newsweek magazine in 2008.
  • Wissahickon students continue to rank well above the average PSSA test scores statewide in reading, math and writing for all grades.
  • 84% of Wissahickon graduates enroll in a 2 or 4-year college/university program.
  • The Middle School Boys and Girls Tennis Teams went undefeated for the third straight year.
  • Led by the student council, middle school students are close to raising $30,000 to build a school in Malawi.
  • Middle School student Anderson Wang won the State Math Counts Championship and placed 4th nationally.
  • Shady Grove kindergarten students won a reading contest sponsored by the Philadelphia Phillies, earning a special school visit from the Philly Phanatic.
